You will see this is really a “Merry Christmas” post–but this lil ol’ blog here was plagued with technical difficulties. I still need to have some work done, as I can only get the photos in this smaller size. If you click on them, they will enlarge. If you are reading this and can recommend someone to work on WordPress–please let me know!I changed my tree to blue/turquoise in the last couple of years, which I don’t think has made it’s debut here on the blog, yet.
Many of the ornaments are handmade. I’m going to TRY(!) to do a quick separate post for those.
This grain sack skirt was made last year, using fabric purchased from www.decorsteals.com. They have daily sales and periodically this fabric shows up in a variety of color-ways.
Even though the stripes are not centered on all of the pieces, one CAN NOT tell when it’s under the tree (because you notice the stripes, not the seams)! (Note: If you decide to make your own, it did take the entire 3yds.)
My decor got thrown up the Saturday before Christmas, because there has been so much going on at the homestead (I actually closed the store for the day). This runner was made in time for a ladies brunch the first Sat. in December. It isn’t a Christmas print, but birds which happen to go really well with all of the decor. The reindeer are from Pottery Barn that a consignor brought into the store.
The Possible Dreams Santas were put above our entertainment center where I was really able to enjoy them!
You haven’t see this piece of furniture yet, either! I tied a piece of jute between the handles and used the floral clothespins that I had made for Healthy Chick’s baby shower.
Here’s a better picture. Blessings to you and hoping you had wonderful holidays. See you soon!
